INVITATIONS Invitations are the piece de resistance, the first real sneak peek into your big event. Have fun with them! The options are seemingly endless, but one thing Courtney Daniel of C. Daniel Design insists is a must: texture. Whether that means layering the inserts in a pocket-style invitation or incorporating other textiles, like satin or jewels, this is your chance to give guests something they haven’t seen before. SAVE-THE-DATES Although not 100 percent necessary, more often than not, couples choose to send these wedding-day teasers – and for good reason. “If you’re getting married Labor Day weekend in Kennebunkport,…

Calligraphy Styles

By Laura Lubanski We have been seeing a trend towards incorporating gorgeous hand calligraphy throughout the invitation suite, and we must admit, we’re a bit smitten! Calligraphy is such an art form and we love the idea of an actual person calligraphing your text, adding such a personal touch to your invitations! It can be used in so many different ways that it’s hard to find a reason not to incorporate this element into your suite. From super modern to very classic, there are tons of calligraphy styles that fit your wedding style! If you’re going for a more traditional feel…

Amanda Delanoy & Colby Gamester

August 15th, 2015 Portsmouth, NH Amanda and Colby share a mutual love of dodge ball – that’s how they met – and fun. They dated for seven years before Colby proposed to Amanda during a Labor Day cookout, in front of 65 people, including Amanda’s family. The couple was the last of their friends to get married. “We’d been to a total of 35 weddings in the last four years, we’ve seen it all,” says Amanda. “We loved every single one of them so we knew what we liked and didn’t like.” The couple wanted an easy-going celebration that reflected…

Wedding Invitation Trend: Adding Texture to Your Wedding Invitations

By Laura Lubanski This time of year just beckons for cuddling up in warm blankets and indulging in soft, cozy textures, so why not infuse some of those elements into your wedding stationery? Your invitations should be a reflection of the two of you and are the perfect place to showcase textures, patterns and fun little details that are important to you. We love the idea of bringing in some warmth with gorgeous embellishments that set the right tone for your big day and add a lot of visual interest to your invitation suite. Cloth Embellishments: Wrapping gorgeous cloth (think linen or tweed!) around…

To honor both families, they had two wedding ceremonies: a traditional Sikh ceremony at Darshan’s family home on Friday, and a second ceremony on Saturday at the Rivermill at Dover Landing in Dover. Wedding invitation and stationery for a seacoast wedding

August 23rd, 2014 Rye, NH No detail went unnoticed in Jessica and Anthony’s wedding, even the date. Jessica, who admits “there wasn’t a detail I wasn’t involved in,” researched weather data and selected their wedding day based on the date which historically had the best weather on the New Hampshire Seacoast. She chose well. The weather was beautiful for their ceremony and reception, held at Rye Harbor State Park, in Rye, NH. The site was a perfect fit with their “by the sea” theme. Jessica enjoyed the do-it-yourself aspect of wedding planning, creating bud vases from Perrier bottles with her…
