Wedding invitation and stationery for a seacoast wedding

August 23rd, 2014 Rye, NH No detail went unnoticed in Jessica and Anthony’s wedding, even the date. Jessica, who admits “there wasn’t a detail I wasn’t involved in,” researched weather data and selected their wedding day based on the date which historically had the best weather on the New Hampshire Seacoast. She chose well. The weather was beautiful for their ceremony and reception, held at Rye Harbor State Park, in Rye, NH. The site was a perfect fit with their “by the sea” theme. Jessica enjoyed the do-it-yourself aspect of wedding planning, creating bud vases from Perrier bottles with her…

Laura Gross & Chris Van Der Lugt

September 27th, 2014 Camden, ME Laura and Chris wanted a waterfront wedding celebration evoking a festive, black and gold-themed cocktail party for themselves, their friends, and family, many of whom – on Chris’s side – were traveling from the Netherlands. Laura’s family has lived in and around Camden, ME, for five generations so the Camden Yacht Club, where Laura learned to sail as a girl, was a logical choice for their ceremony and reception. An added celebratory touch: the Camden International Film Festival coincided with the wedding weekend, drawing hundreds of visitors, in addition to the couple’s wedding guests, to…

Jennifer Gilman & Tyler Fairchild

August 8th, 2014 Peaks Island, ME Jennifer and Tyler share a love of family and the ocean, not surprising since they grew up in Plymouth, on Massachusetts’ south shore. Family inspired them to plan a destination wedding on Peaks Island, in Casco Bay, a short ferry ride from Portland, ME, near where Tyler’s mom grew up. “We thought it’d be a bit of a mini-adventure,” says Jennifer. It certainly was the day they first visited their venue, the Inn on Peaks Island. “It was cold, raining and there was no power on the entire island,” Jennifer says. Tyler, however, was…

Unique Wedding Venues

From off the beaten path to off the mainland Choosing a venue is the first of many decisions you’ll make when planning your wedding, but what happens when you can’t seem to find “the one”? The Seacoast is bursting with quintessential wedding spots. You’ll find breathtaking views, rolling green fields and impressively renovated barns. However, if you’re looking for something a little different for your special day, you have plenty of places to choose from. Did you know you can get married in a grand historic castle in Massachusetts? At a brewery in New Hampshire? Or on your own private…

Will You Marry Me?

An Engagement Adventure Marriage is a journey but sometimes the trip to get there is an adventure. Just ask Stefany Shaheen and Craig Welch. Stefany and Craig were on a trip to Belize when, to Stefany’s surprise, Craig proposed. Less than 12 hours later, after enjoying breakfast on the small island of Caye Caulker, the engagement ring slipped off Stefany’s finger and was lost in the sand. The couple desperately combed the beach for hours, looking for the ring; beach-goers and islanders joined the search, but it disappeared. With several days remaining on their trip, Stefany and Craig pledged to…
