Fortunately, he was also smart, funny, and worth going out with, she says, nothing “He was the right person to be around.” Kate grew up near the water in Portsmouth, NH, and she and Mitch both wanted to be married in a Seacoast community. Maine has special memories for Stephanie; her grandparents had a summer cottage near the historic Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. “We knew we wanted something casual that could also be a destination weddings for our families, who live in other parts of the country,” she says.
