After her brother’s wedding at Peirce Farm in 2019, there was only one thing Karen wanted for her own wedding day—to be married at the same location. “They opened as a wedding venue only a few years ago,” she says. “When we started planning our wedding they were booked solid, and I was crushed, but they contacted us about a last-minute cancellation, and of course we grabbed it! We had the property all day, which includes a manor house, so there was no pressure for photos or getting ready within a set period of time, which I loved.”

Karen’s dress was a fortuitous surprise, she says. “I had almost pulled the trigger on another dress, but I took one last look online, and this dress was new. I tried it on and it fit like a glove, no alterations needed.” The long, lace-embellished veil was the crowning touch, and Karen is thrilled with how it was incorporated into their wedding photos.

Wandering the grounds and petting the animals was a fun part of the farm experience, Karen says. “But the part of the wedding that was fantastic for both of us was right after the ceremony, when we relaxed in the manor library for about 20 minutes with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. It gave us some quiet time together before we rejoined our guests outside for cocktail hour.”
