York, Maine
Jason proposed to Stephanie in workout clothes. The couple was on vacation with their friends hiking through Acadia. Stopping to catch their breath at a spot where mussels, rocks, and ocean converged with the trail, Jason handed Stephanie a book. It was filled with pictures from moments together. On the last page it read, Steph, Here’s to the next chapter in our story. “When I looked up, he was down on one knee and all of our friends were taking pictures,” she says.
In truth, Stephanie always had an idea they would marry. “One month into our relationship, I remember thinking, How long do I have to wait?” Four years later, Stephanie decided not to hire a wedding planner for their wedding. “It was an easy start,” she says. “Jason and I are classic people, but we also wanted a touch of rustic.”
With a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, Jason and Stephanie got married at the ViewPoint Hotel in York, ME. “Maine is like our favorite state ever,” she says. The day of the wedding was everything the couple could have imagined. “We were surrounded by everybody that we love,” Stephanie says. “Truly it was the best day of my whole life.”
