Ogunquit, Maine
The beauty of art and the picturesque town of Ogunquit were two special ingredients Amanda knew she wanted to incorporate into her wedding day. Her love of art led her to get a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in printmaking, and she and Andrew chose Ogunquit as their very first vacation spot more than six years ago—and they’ve continued vacationing there every year since.
The result of combining these two things? A lovely waterfront ceremony and reception at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, which Amanda said had just started allowing weddings shortly before they booked the venue. “We were looking for something simple and beautiful, and this fit the bill perfectly. Getting married on the coast was important to both of us.”
Amanda noted that a highlight of her day was walking out onto the lawn on her father’s arm and seeing all her family and friends seated there. “Standing there with Andrew, looking out over that beautiful cove, was just amazing.”
And, of course, there was the art. “It was everywhere, it became part of the entertainment for our guests since we didn’t have dancing,” Amanda explained. “I loved that Melissa captured all those wonderful photos of me wandering around looking at the art.”
