Yes, people really do find their soulmates through online dating, as Caroline can attest to. “I had been living in Orlando six months and decided to give online a try,” she explained. “Rich was my second date—I was lucky to find the real thing right away!”
When the time came to get married, there was no hesitation about where the wedding would be held. It had to be in Wells, near the Shaw family’s seasonal home on Drakes Island, where Caroline has vacationed her whole life. Their wedding, held over Labor Day weekend, was mostly about sharing that special location with their favorite people. “It felt like we could be ourselves there,” she said.
The couple hung out with their family and friends the entire weekend, doing all the stereotypical New England things like eating lobster and going to the beach. “It was a great introduction to the Seacoast for a lot of our guests,” Caroline said. “The entire weekend was amazing, from the perfect weather to all the fun we had.”
