Megan Morgan + Nate Pelsinski

September 8, 2018

Forest Lake, Maine

Talk about making an entrance! Megan waterskied into her wedding at her family’s camp on Forest Lake, wearing nothing but a white bikini and a shower cap protecting her updo, to the shock and delighted surprise of everyone except her dad, who drove the boat. As she landed at the dock and ran to the house to change, Megan looked back and grinned at Nate, who waited on the dock with the bridal party for what they thought would be a traditional father/daughter processional from the house. “Nate’s expression was priceless!” she says.

Following the ceremony—during which friends and family occupied stairways leading to the lake, waterfront docks, and even canoes—the couple’s 225 guests noshed on food-truck fare that included paninis, crepes, and Megan’s personal favorite, Mexican. “I wanted people to mingle,” she says, “so I only had seating for about 85, plus some hay bales scattered around.”

Both Megan and Nate are firefighters, so a focal point of the fun was being photographed on Cumberland’s antique fire engine. Another highlight was being roasted by best man Ryan Pynchon and maid of honor Lindsey Arsenault during their speeches. “Both are real comedians, and they kept everyone laughing,” says Megan. “The whole day was really fun.”
