Norissa Morse + Matt Lauzon – Seacoast Weddings

“Matt and I met through mutual best friends while spring breaking in South Florida in 2012. We soon learned that we grew up exactly three miles apart in neighboring towns in Southern Maine,” Norissa recalls. “Our families actually knew each other, and my grandparents attended his parents’ wedding.”

Guests arrived at the magnificent Basilica of Saint Peter & Paul located in Lewiston, Maine. The basilica’s gothic architecture and exquisite exterior detail made for incredible photographs against the pale blue sky. Inside, the high archways gave the ceremony a sense of grandeur. “We got a vintage Bentley (a surprise for Matt) to whisk us from the basilica to the Cliff House,” Norissa adds.

The reception was held at Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine. The aptly-named Cliff House is a popular choice for weddings receptions and with good reason. The dining and dancing areas are beautiful, and are situated very close to a rock precipice that slopes into the Atlantic providing immaculate oceanfront views.

“One more thing we incorporated was a large projection screen in the Atlantic Ballroom which showcased tons of memories and special moments from our years together,” says Norissa.

Nearby, there are portions of the waterfront that have a more gentle gradient, and can be easily accessed on foot. These areas are perfect for wedding day photo sessions. Norissa and Matt made the most of this opportunity, and captured the essence of a seacoast wedding in the process.

“We both have always been drawn to the ocean since we grew up on the coast of Maine. It just made the most sense for us to start our future at the gorgeous Cliff House with its breathtaking views and equally stunning guest rooms.
