Vintage Looks Crossing Over to Modern Trends

Trends change over time, that’s a given; we can especially see this within the fashion industry. However, we occasionally see trends from the past coming back into modern style. Take crop tops from the 90’s or peasant shirts from the 70’s. Both trends have made a triumphant return into modern fashion. We see this happening with wedding dress styles as well.

Many articles have identified short dresses as being one of the leading trends for 2018 weddings. The trend is believed to be inspired by 1950’s looks worn by legends such as Audrey Hepburn. For a bride that wants a classic yet fashionable look, a short dress may be an option!

These shorter dresses are available in a few different lengths, including above the knee length, for the brides who want to show off a little leg, and tea-length for those who want to draw attention those perfect shoes! Designers such as Elie Saab, Ivy & Aster and Naeem Khan have adopted this trend and created some of the most stunning looks to walk down the runway for 2018.

Traditional length dresses are always a crowd favorite and a valid choice for your special day, but if you’re looking to switch it up a bit, a shorter dress could be a choice.
