Chamberlain, ME
Hope and Matt had the quintessential Maine wedding at his family’s ocean-side cottage in Chamberlain, ME.
Their ceremony was on the rocks jutting into Long Cove; their reception was at the Long Cove Point clubhouse. The day was warm, sunny, and busy – a town festival, Bristol Days, was happening the same weekend as the wedding. “We had our first look at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse,” says Hope. “There were lots of people walking around and sailboats criss-crossing the water. It was typical Maine.”
The wedding was elegant, but playful. Matt and his groomsmen eschewed traditional wedding suits for blue dress shirts and pants. Food trucks, one serving Mexican food, the other Vietnamese, offered a casual, but delicious alternative to a traditional plated dinner; Dot’s, a local bakery, provided a variety of pies as well as a small cake for the couple to cut. Hope’s mother made homemade blueberry jam for wedding favors. The festive celebration ended (fittingly) with fireworks.
